Not only is the severe drought draining our area lakes, it's also causing another big problem.
The Colorado River Municipal Water District says they'll have to take on a new maintenance project in Lake O.H. Ivie.
They're dealing with a silt build-up in one of the lake's channels.
The only way to clean up the sediment is to vacuum out the channel.
They hope to have it cleaned up by March so they can continue to pump out what is left.
