ODESSA, Texas — Ector County ISD has announced the future locations for their new middle school and new CTE high school.
The location of the middle school is at the intersection of S. Tripp and Hutson in West Odessa. The location of the new CTE high school will be at E. Murphy, just east of the intersection with Meadow.
Superintendent Dr. Scott Muri was at the locations on Tuesday morning to put up the official signs.
"Today is a huge milestone because we were standing on property we own," Dr. Muri said. "These were dreams. We dreamed of a new middle school in the western part of our county, and today it's real. We own that property; it's owned by ECISD. We started the design process, and we have community members engaged. It's that dream becoming a reality."
The middle school is set to open in Aug. 2026. Construction should begin in January. The CTE building is set to open Jan. 2027 and will break ground in January.
