ECTOR COUNTY, Texas — The Ector County Independent School District (ECISD) has opened the window for Gifted and Talented student referrals.
The dates to refer a student for grades kindergarten through fifth grade are now until Nov. 1.
A second round of referrals will be conducted for grades sixth through 11th in December.
Anyone in the community can submit a referral for a student.
According to a media release, ECISD's Advanced Academic Services Department recognizes that students who possess exceptional gifts and talents should be granted the direction, time, encouragement and resources to maximize their potential.
"Administrators, teachers, counselors and facilitators will work with parents, students, and the community to identify gifted and talented students from all backgrounds," ECISD reports.
