MIDLAND, Texas — Holy Cross Catholic High School in Midland opened a brand-new gymnasium Tuesday afternoon.
The six-year project is now complete for the school in what they say will be the new hub for all events to take place. The gym will be the home for the basketball, volleyball and cheer teams. It also includes new locker rooms and a new weight room.
"It has been such a blessing to us and to our sports program," says Head of the School Carolyn Cantu. "But just maybe more than to our sports program, to our students. Because now we have a place to gather, to have an assembly, a pep rally, we can come together for graduation and know that it's our home. Maybe crazy and chaotic, you know, loud, but that's the way young people should be: loud and excited about life and learning."
