KERMIT, Texas — According to the Kermit ISD Facebook, Dr. Joe Lopez is the sole finalist for Greenville ISD Superintendent.
Greenville ISD is located in Hunt County, roughly 50 miles northeast from Dallas.
The Greenville ISD Board of Trustees has unanimously approved his appointment after a comprehensive search process.
Dr. Joe Lopez has over two decades of educational leadership experience and was also recognized as one of the Top 5 Finalists for Superintendent of the Year in Texas in 2023.
The official appointment awaits a 21-day waiting period.
Dr. Lopez issued a statement posted on the Kermit ISD Facebook page on March 6.
