MIDLAND, Texas — The Midland Independent School District (MISD) will host a parent and student meeting today at 5 p.m. to discuss the importance of the Campus Crime Stoppers program.
The partnership between Midland Crime Stoppers and MISD Campus Coordinators is to initiate the safety of the school district.
In addition to the program, the Student Board of Directors will be announced at the meeting.
Students will be able to work alongside law enforcement Campus Coordinators to actively manage and promote the Campus Crime Stoppers program within their schools.
"We aim to create a more engaging and relatable program for the student body by directly involving students in the leadership and decision-making process," said Executive Director of Crime Stoppers of Midland, Angie Valenzuela.
The public is welcome to the attend the event at the Midland ISD Central Office located at 615 W. Missouri.
