Odessa and Midland College, along with others, partner to expand college and career pathways for rural students

Education Partnership of the Permian Basin launched innovation zone Tuesday.

Odessa and Midland College, along with Education Partnership of the Permian Basin, teamed up with Crane, Grandfalls-Royalty, Buena Vista and Mccamey ISD to provide resources to expand shared college and career pathways for rural students.

Midland College President Dr. Damon Kennedy shared his thoughts regarding the partnership.

"It's really remarkable. Like Odessa College, we want to be a partner that everyone knows that you can align with [and] that I've been utilizing with a great deal of weight," Dr. Kennedy said during the event. "Midland College tends to be a partner that prioritizes the outcomes of those we collaborate with everyday as much as we prioritize our own."

Other featured speakers included college, school system and campus leaders along with students and educators.
