PECOS - A former Basin teacher is facing some alarming accusations. Pecos Police say they're investigating a possible teacher-student affair.
There's not really much information released at this time because the investigation is still underway.
However Pecos Police say they were contacted by the school district on Thursday around 1:30 p.m. regarding a possible improper relationship between an educator and a student from Pecos High School.
Police, nor the school district, would release the name of the teacher or the student since it's still a pending case.
However, Police say they take this type of incidents very seriously.
"We have investigators assigned to the case. It's a criminal case and we have the District Attorney's office and Texas Rangers to assist us," Pecos Police Chief, Clay McKinney, said.
No one has been arrested yet.
NewsWest 9 does have a name that has been mentioned around by former students who this teacher may be but we won't release the name until authorities do.
