ODESSA - Those showers that passed through the Basin on Monday afternoon gave Odessa a good soaking.
The fire department tells NewsWest Nine they were called out to several high water rescues after cars cruising through flooded streets were stalled.
Police closed off the intersection of 42nd and Dixie, but it's back open now.
The water was waist-high on our six-foot tall photographer, and NewsWest 9 also saw children swimming at the intersection of east 42nd and Grandview.
