COAHOMA, Texas — The City of Coahoma is under a boil water notice as of Thursday morning due to a line break causing water pressure dropping below 20 pounds per square inch or PSI. 

The boil water notice does not affect Sand Springs. 

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the city to notify all citizen to boil their water before consumption. 

According to the notice, children, seniors and people with weaken immune systems are vulnerable to harmful bacteria. 

 To ensure harmful bacteria is gone it is advised to boil water for two minutes and letting cool before human consumption or use bottled water. 

Residents will be notified when the water is safe to consume without boiling.
