Industrial fire in Reeves County has been extinguished, assistant chief says

The fire broke out approximately four miles southwest of Pecos, Wednesday morning. As of Thursday at 6 p.m., the fire has been put out.

REEVES COUNTY, Texas — As of 6 p.m. Thursday, the Reeves County Emergency Services District informed NewsWest 9 that the industrial fire in Reeves County has been put out.

Firefighters waited for a safe approach for over 24 hours before going in. On Thursday evening they were able to extinguish it, according to Assistant Chief Robert Snyder. 

No injuries were reported. Crews were on scene putting the apparatus back in place.
