PECOS COUNTY, Texas — A Helotes woman has passed away after a one vehicle crash in Pecos County Saturday.
According to a crash report from Texas Department of Transportation, 68-year-old Mary Elizabeth Cates was driving westbound on FM 11 at about 11:40 p.m.
For an unknown reason, according to the report, Cates lost control of her vehicle and veered off the roadway. The vehicle then hit a fence and rolled over.
Cates was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
