MIDLAND, Texas — The American Legion is hosting an event at 501 Veterans Airpark Lane in Midland this Saturday, August 3, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., acording to a post on the American Legion Facebook page.
Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 12, which includes all activities and a picnic meal.
There will also be a Sweet Treat Cooking Competition where you can bring your favorite cookies, cakes, ice cream, muffins, pies, and snacks, to be judged by the public.
Attendees are also encouraged to bring new school supplies, non-perishable food items, and hygiene products. All proceeds will go to the Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry.
