MIDLAND, Texas —
Today the Midland Bible Church held their annual Country Fair, an event that has been going on for a while now.
“So, we started the event six years ago, just as a free just to give back to the community and just show the love of Jesus out to the community and so it's grown every year. I think the first year we had about 1000 people, this year we're expecting somewhere between four thousand, five thousand people,” said Randy Clark, Country Fair coordinator for the Midland Bible Church.
There were many family friendly games, activities and food for the community to enjoy.
Clark said that the church has always done what it can to give back to the community and the Country Fair is just one of those methods of doing so.
“This whole church is, open and willing to go out there and be that light out into the world and to go and serve others and help those who might not have an opportunity to go to the fair, go to the carnival and we want to give them the free opportunity to do that,” Clark continued.
Just being able to provide this kind of thing for families in the community and showing them, a good time is enough for the church.
“It doesn't matter, you don't have to have ever been to this church. You don't have to come to this church afterwards. We are inviting people to come and experience the love and joy that that is offered by Jesus,” Clark added.
