MIDLAND, Texas — Summer Mummers is a long-lived melodrama that's turned into a timeless summer tradition in the Permian Basin.
This year, it's making its return to Midland at the Yucca Theatre on June 7. Further showtimes will start at 7:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday through Aug. 31.
Summer Mummers has been supporting the Midland Community Theatre for 76 years.
This year's melodrama is carnival-themed, called "Circumvented in the Center Ring."
All of the funds raised will go towards supporting educational programs, season shows and general operations at the MCT.
