ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Billy Bassett, president, and owner of Bassett Construction, Inc. along with several other businesses were honored by the Odessa Chamber of Commerce at the 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year and Business Hall of Fame Thursday, April 5, 2018.
Held at the Odessa Country Club Bassett was also named 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year.
Fellow inductees included Gary Felker, Milam-Felker Insurance Services, Inc.; Joe Hurt, PBP Fabrication, Inc.; Tommy Ervin and Norlene Ervin-McBride, Ervin Plumbing & Supply; and Jimmie B. Todd, Todd, Barron, Thomason, Hudman & Bebout, P.C.
According to Bassett, who's lived his whole life in Odessa, winning this award is a matter of longevity.
"The old story is if you haven't failed you haven't tried," said Bassett.
