Boil water notice for Gardendale lifted

As of Sept. 17, the water boil notice is no longer in effect for the Gardendale community.

GARDENDALE, Texas — The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has lifted the boil water notice issued for the city of Gardendale as of Sept 17. 

On Sept. 14, the Greater Gardendale Water Supply Corporation was required to inform citizens that the water from the public water system should be boiled before use and consumption. 

According to a press release, "the public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of 09-17-2024."
