COLORADO CITY, Texas — Update:
The City of Colorado City said on their government website that the boil water notice has rescinded.
"The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of December 15, 2023," the notice states.
If you have any questions regarding the update, you can contact Water Supervisor Joe Beltran at 325-728-5331.

The City of Colorado City residents will need to boil their water, the city's government website has confirmed.
The boil water notice is due to an "unexpected loss in water pressure."
"To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes," the City of Colorado says on its website. "The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes."
We will update you once we learn more.
