ODESSA, Texas — On Friday morning, a vehicle collision occurred resulting in three students and two adults being injured.

The Odessa Police Department and Odessa Fire Rescue were dispatched to the accident at 11:44 a.m. involving a gray Toyota Highlander. The vehicle crashed into Alfredo’s Paleteria, located at the intersection of 42nd St. and Bonham Ave., according to a press release from the City of Odessa.

The incident occurred when the Highlander’s driver attempted to make a left turn into the business complex and did not yield the right of way and collided with the front of a Ford Expedition. This then caused the driver to overcorrect the vehicle, causing the Highlander to crash into the business establishment.

The investigation is ongoing.
