CASA seeking volunteers to support foster children in West Texas

An information lunch session will be hosted today, July 1 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

MIDLAND, Texas — CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, has announced a critical need for new volunteers. These individuals will play a vital role in supporting foster children by helping them navigate the welfare system, according to a press release from CASA.

The release further added that CASA volunteers advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. They work closely with child welfare professionals, educators, and service providers to ensure judges have the necessary information to make informed decisions for each child. CASA volunteers can serve individually or partner with others, such as a spouse, friend, family member, or co-worker.
