Chevron to donate $100,000 for New Mexico wildfire relief

The Greatest Need Impact Fund for Lincoln and Otero Counties will be getting a $75,000 donation and the Mescalero Apache Tribe will be getting a $25,000 donation.

RUIDOSO, N.M. — Chevron has announced that they are donating $100,000 to relief support and recovery efforts in response to the wildfires that devastated the Village of Ruidoso and other areas in south-central New Mexico.

According to a press release from Chevron, the Greatest Need Impact Fund for Lincoln and Otero Counties, which is held in the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico, will be getting a $75,000 donation. The Mescalero Apache Tribe will be getting a $25,000 donation.

Chevron will also be matching qualifying donations to wildlife relief efforts that were made by employees and retirees. They will also be giving financial support to non-profit organizations where employees volunteer.
