ECTOR COUNTY - Major developments at Wednesday's Medical Examiner's Advisory Board meeting. At the end of the meeting, Chief Medical Examiner Anne Acreman handed in her resignation.
Acreman said she doesn't know for sure when her last day will be, but said she plans on making it a smooth transition for the next person to take over.
Acreman was with the department for less than a year.
Before the resignation, the advisory board discussed working to get more medical professionals to help with autopsies.
The medical examiner's office has been scrutinized for failing to request autopsies.
