City of Odessa announces free bulk drop-off event

The drop-off will be hosted at Ector Junior High this upcoming Saturday, July 13.

ODESSA, Texas — The City of Odessa is hosting another free bulk drop-off event at Ector Junior High this Saturday, July 13, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The address for Ector Junior High is 809 W. Clements St. in Odessa. 

Solid waste can be dropped off in the east parking lot. The items that were listed as acceptable were furniture, appliances, water heaters, hot tubs, above-ground pools, exercise equipment, and trampolines. Outdoor equipment such as string trimmers, mowers, leaf blowers, generators, edgers, tillers, BBQ pits, and patio furniture is also accepted, but the fuel, oil, and batteries must be removed. Additionally, home office electronics like microwaves, cables and wires, televisions, crock pots, and space heaters will also be accepted. 

Construction and demolition debris, paint, chemicals, tires, and tree limbs will not be accepted. Refrigerators, compressors, and freezers will only be accepted if the freon is removed.
