COAHOMA, Texas — Coahoma ISD said Monday that a Coahoma Junior High student "inadvertently" brought a gun onto the campus.
The district's administration said they investigated the matter and at the time of finding the gun that the student had, there was no threat of violence and no danger to student safety.
The district did contact local law enforcement and they responded immediately.
CISD did not say if the student will face any charges or if any suspension or expulsion is necessary as a result of the incident.
