For 10 years Curbside Bistro has been giving out free Thanksgiving meals to the community every year at their Odessa location.
Chef Alejandro Barrientos has been doing this ever since Curbside Bistro started out as a food truck.
“He has a great heart and I'm very proud of him because he's always been so generous and for him to want to open up his doors for our business to the community is just beautiful because the community is very deserving," said Stephanie Barrientos, co-owner of Curbside Bistro and wife of Chef Alejandro.
But they aren’t just a food truck anymore and now they have two locations.
Chef Alejandro says that he’s happy to see how much the event has grown over the years.
“It's a huge blessing, sometimes I drive myself crazy, just stressing and want to make sure everything gets pulled off right and the food gets served and everybody gets a single plate. So, it's definitely it's a labor of love and much goes into planning it,” said Chef Alejandro.
However, he also says that they couldn’t have done this by themselves and that the community they’ve worked so hard to serve the past decade also helps make this event possible in the first place.
“This is all possible through our community, through our partners. The turkey was donated. Everybody that's out here that's lent a helping hand, a huge thank you. We couldn't do this without them. So just a huge thank you to everybody out there,” Chef Alejandro continued.
