Diamondback Energy shows appreciation for local first responders

Diamondback Energy gives back to first responders with 6th annual Honor and Serve lunch.

ODESSA, Texas — Diamondback Energy showed their appreciation for first responders with their 6th annual Honor and Serve lunch at Rolling 7's Ranch Event Center. 

Fire, police, the sheriff's office and dispatch personnel from Midland and Odessa were invited to enjoy a free lunch.  

Diamondback said the lunch is a way to show appreciation for the men and women who serve the community. 

President and CFO of Diamondback Energy Kaes Van't Hof said, "this is a step for Diamondback to support the city where we live and work, we've grown a lot, the cities grown a lot and we continue to support and expand our presence in Midland Odessa."  

The Midland Police Department's Honor Guard and Odessa Fire Rescue's Pipe and Drum Corps kicked off the event with a presentation of colors.
