DPS identifies 3 people killed in Ector County crash

The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 302 and FM 1936.

ECTOR COUNTY, Texas —

The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the drivers and passengers in an Ector County crash on Monday night that left three people dead, and two others injured.

According to DPS, preliminary information revealed that Adan Castillo-Venzor, 26, of Wichita, Kansas, was driving a 2017 Ford F-350 northbound on FM 1936. Israel Gonzalez-Nunez, 40, of Seminole, Texas, was riding with Castillo-Venzor in the truck.

Keethan James Gould, 40, of Farmington, New Mexico, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu westbound on State Highway 302. Angel A. Rico DeLeon, 27, of Big Lake, Texas, and David Saenz-Cera, 35, of Dumas, Texas, were riding with Gould in the car.

Castillo-Venzor failed to yield the right of way at a yield sign, causing Gould to hit his truck.

Gould, Rico DeLeon and Saenz-Cera were pronounced dead at the scene by Odessa Fire and EMS.

Castillo-Venzor and Gonzalez-Nunez were transported to Medical Center Hospital, where they are in stable condition.
