ODESSA, Texas — The Ector County Tax Office was disconnected from the state server Tuesday after a manhole was flooded during the large amount of rain that fell Monday.
The office originally thought the problem was coming from the Lubbock end, but later found out a manhole in Odessa had flooded thanks to the rain and disabled the cables used to connect the office to the state system.
The offices are not closed, but the disconnect prevents them from processing registrations and title transfers.
They are working to remedy the issue, but the estimated time of restoration is not until 8 p.m. on May 15.
