ECTOR COUNTY, Texas — On Wednesday, the Ector County Victims Coalition came together outside the ICA Building to show support to people who lost their lives to crime, and give hope to the survivors.
NewsWest 9 spoke with Michelle Delboskee who said her son was murdered in 2020 on Halloween night. She said he was in his car, ambushed and murdered.
Delboskee hopes to bring justice to her son and let the community know they can prevent violent crimes.
"If you see something say something, its starts at home when people see violence occur, report it," Delbosque said. "So we can help others be survivors of domestic violence or gun violence it can lead to other evil heinous crimes."
NewsWest 9's Victor Lopez, who has been heavily involved with the Ector County Victims Coalition over the years, was awarded a certificate of recognition for his contributions to the non-profit and showing his support.
