SAN ANTONIO — A murder case is in the spotlight again as investigators are hoping it will bring leads. Meagan Gonzales' body was found burned in 2019. Crime Stoppers is putting out her case again to generate more leads.
Her father Eddie Gonzales said he isn't giving up on the case.
"I miss her dearly," Gonzales said. "We miss her a lot. I wake up a lot thinking about her."
This December will be five years since she was found burned beyond recognition in the southwest part of Bexar county. To this day, Bexar County Sheriff homicide investigators are still looking for information leading up to her death.
"Cold-blooded," he said. "I couldn't believe that either. Because my daughter, if you would have met her, she was such a sweet person."
Gonzales said the unanswered questions like who killed his daughter still haunt him today.
"I am tired of this pain," he said.
However, in the meantime, the father is determined and will keep fighting for his daughter.
"I pray to God that I get the answers that they get the people they're looking for and start getting some arrests," he said. "I have faith. I have faith. I have faith in God."
Crime Stoppers is asking you to call them if you have any information at 210-224-STOP. It may pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
