Fire Wednesday night in Midland displaces four residents

According to the Midland Fire Department, the fire happened in the 500 block of East Montgomery Ave.

MIDLAND, Texas — The Midland Fire Department is currently investigating a fire that took place in southeast Midland at 11:52 p.m. Wednesday.

The fire happened in the 500 block of East Montgomery Ave. MFD responded to the fire and saw a RV, fence and house on fire.

The Midland Police Department also responded to the fire, evacuated the residences and remained on scene to assist with traffic control.

According to MFD, there was damage to the house, a "mother-in-law" house and three or four cars. There was also exterior damage to the RV and the neighboring fence.

The American Red Cross is assisting four residents that are now displaced.

There were no reported injuries.

There is an investigation ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
