'Flammable vapor ignition' causes fire Thursday night, City of Midland says

The fire was at 11:50 p.m. near the overpass on I-20 and Lamesa Rd. The ignition was on a frack tank at a drilling site. No injuries were reported.

MIDLAND, Texas — People near I-20 and Lamesa Rd in Midland last night might've seen a pretty big fire.

According to the City of Midland, at 11:50 p.m. near the overpass on I-20 and Lamesa, a "flammable vapor ignition" on a frack tank caused a fire. The fire involved a trash trailer at a drilling site.

The flames were put out quickly, according to the city, and no injuries were reported.
