ODESSA, TX (KWES) - A former Ector County ISD coach pled guilty to an improper relationship between educator and student on Friday.
Alisha Knighten was sentenced to six years probation and a $500,000 fine.
Knighten was arrested back in May of 2014 for an incident that happened back in the 2014 Spring Semester.
Knighten was the P.E. coach at Bonham Junior High and the assistant softball coach at Permian High School.
According to the Ector County District Attorney's Office, Knighten will be unable to obtain a teaching license in the future.
We're told that the victim supported the plea by Knighten.
