CRANE COUNTY, Texas — Forty-nine-year-old Sean Guy Morris of Gardendale died in a four-vehicle crash on Tuesday, July 30, around 9 a.m. at mile marker 90 on I-20 westbound in Crane County, according to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

DPS states in the report that Morris, driving a 2019 Toyota Tundra, was waiting at a standstill behind 52-year-old Armando Valencia, driving a Kenworth Truck with trailer because of traffic.

The collision forced Morris' car into Valencia's Kenworth truck.

According to DPS, Gerrel then continued into the outside lane and hit 24-year-old Brian Ramos-Portillo, who was driving a 2019 Ford F-150.

Morris was pronounced dead at the scene. Gerrel was taken to Odessa's Medical Center Hospital in serious condition. Valencia and Ramos-Portillo were not injured.
