ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Mark Cason Garrett, accused of killing three people during a crash in June 2017, was scheduled to return to court today but his bail hearing was canceled.
Garett is facing 12 charges, including three counts of intoxication manslaughter.
District Attorney Bobby Bland says Garrett's cell, along with many others, is being quarantined due to a flu outbreak at the Ector County Jail.
According to Bland, the hearing has not been rescheduled and Garrett is not expected in court again until his pre-trial hearing January 24.
Garrett was originally arrested and posted bond back in June 2017 but had his bail revoked that September after violating conditions of his release. He’s been in jail since then and his trial is scheduled to start February 25th.
Authorities say Garrett was drunk when he plowed into the back of an ice cream van near Yukon Rd and Taposa Rd.
All three people inside the van died in the crash. Garrett and three people inside his car all suffered minor injuries.
