ODESSA, Texas — Hays STEAM Academy partnered up with the Red Cross to help out homeless veterans in the Permian Basin.
Each grade level was assigned to collect comfort items, and the school even had a competition to see which one could collect the most items.
At 2:30 p.m. Thursday, the AVID students at Hays joined Red Cross volunteers to donate these items to the VA Clinic in Odessa.
