Hearing held in Midland District Court with David Wilson's legal team and Lydia Security Monitoring motion to compel

Lydia Security Monitoring filed a motion to compel against the Plaintiff David Wilson for "producing too many documents."

MIDLAND, Texas — A hearing was held in the 142nd District Court Tuesday because the Defendant Lydia Security Monitoring filed a motion to compel claiming that the Plaintiff David Wilson has produced "too many documents."

The defendant was asking Judge Rogers to have the plaintiff produce only documents that are easy to access and relevant to the matter.

Those 145,000 files names were shown in court Tuesday as Exhibit B at the beginning of the hearing.

Inside the courtroom, the defendant also received and claimed that many files were hard to find. They also claimed that it looked like the files names were changed and some files didn't have file extensions.

Lydia Security Monitoring also said in court this is "frowned upon, excessive and they just dumped it on them," in reference to the documents they received from the plaintiff.

The defendant asked for the Judge to have Wilson's team give them files in a better manner so they can have easier access to them.

In response, Wilson's legal team told the Judge there was a spreadsheet produced by Wilson with a list of properties from 2013 to around 2022.

Wilson's team also said in court "everything we're going to use in trial has been produced. We haven't changed anything." He went on to say they did this in "an abundance of caution so they can't say we didn't give them everything."

In 2021, Wilson was found not guilty and his team also filed a lawsuit against Lydia Security Monitoring and BAM Security for system failures that led to officer death.

Judge Rogers should have a ruling on this by this week of Dec. 11. The trial is still set at January 8, 2024.
