HOBBS, N.M. — One person has died after a firework incident on 4th of July in Hobbs, New Mexico, according to a press release from the Hobbs Fire Department.
According to the release, Hobbs FD received an emergency call in regards to a traumatic injury in the 1300 block of West Sanger St.
When firefighters arrived, a person was seen with life-threatening injuries as a result of a firework explosion.
Immediate medical intervention was performed on-site, and then the person was taken to Covenant Medical Hospital's emergency room where he later died.
No further information was provided about the incident.
