MIDLAND, Texas — In celebration of Texas Recycles Day, H-E-B is giving you an opportunity for free admission to 10 nature centers across Texas, including the I-20 Wildlife Preserve in Midland.
On Nov. 18, 24 and 25, H-E-B is sponsoring free admission to the preserve in exchange for one recyclable plastic bottle or single-use plastic bag per person.
H-E-B works with Keep Texas Recycling, a program with Keep Texas Beautiful, to help fund municipal recycling grants to cities and counties that need help improving and starting recycling programs. In 2023, H-E-B gifted $157,000 in grants to support community recycling centers in Texas.
They're also providing 10 communities with a total of $25,000 to support educational and programming opportunities related to recycling.
