59-year-old woman dies in Odessa crash after car flips over

According to OPD, a Dodge Ram failed to yield the right of way to turn left onto Faudree Rd. and hit a black Kia Sportage.

ODESSA, Texas — NewsWest 9 has learned new information about the fatal crash at the intersection of Faudree Rd. and Highway 80 that occurred Wednesday night.

According to the Odessa Police Department, officers responded to the intersection at 9:41 p.m. because of a major crash.

An OPD investigation revealed that a black Kia Sportage, driven by 59-year-old Ninfa Webb, was going westbound on Hwy 80.

A Dodge Ram was going eastbound on Hwy 80 and was attempting to turn left onto Faudree Rd. The driver failed to yield the right of way and hit Webb, causing her car to flip over.

Webb died at the scene. The driver of the Dodge Ram was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Next of kin has been notified for Webb.

The investigation is ongoing.
