JEFF DAVIS COUNTY, Texas — There was a scare in Jeff Davis County Thursday after a mass bomb threat email was sent to the Jeff Davis County Sheriff's Office.
According to County Judge Curtis Evans, the County Courthouse took the threat "very seriously."
The Courthouse was evacuated, and Brewster County Sheriff's Office sent a unit to check the buildings out. Nothing threatening was found.
Evans says everyone stopped working for a couple hours but returned to work once everything was clear.
