(KWES) - John L. Pool has announced that he will be running as a Republican for the 109th Judicial District Court.
Pool said in a statement, "I believe that my 19 years' experience as both a prosecutor and defense attorney in criminal, civil, and family law matters has given me the legal experience to be a fair and impartial judge and to give back to the community that has provided so much to my family and me.
In 2001, Pool was elected to the office of County Attorney with felony responsibility for Andrews County. He served in that position for over 11 years.
The 109th Judicial District Court covers Andrews, Crane and Winkler County.
