The La Kiva Bar in Terlingua is re-opening its doors a year and a half after the owner was found beaten and dead.
The manager of La Kiva told NewsWest 9 the bar portion will open on Monday.
They'll start serving drinks from 5 p.m. until midnight Sunday through Friday and until 1 a.m. on Saturday.
The restaurant isn't open yet as they're waiting on equipment to be installed.
They're not sure when it will be ready.
Back in February of 2014, the owner of La Kiva, Glenn Felts, was found beaten and dead in the parking lot of the bar after an employee found him.
A jury found his friend, Tony Flint, not guilty in his death back in May.
According to the affidavit, both men were highly intoxicated after a night of heavy drinking and left the bar together.
Investigators say the two men got into a fight.
Flint claims felts hit him first and it was self-defense and that he was alive in the parking lot when he left that night.
In the end, the defense argument convinced the jury that a car could have run over Felts' body killing him.
He used testimony from the medical examiner who testified for the prosecution.
