ODESSA, Texas — The Education Foundation of Odessa has announced a special performance by LeAnn Rimes, the internationally renowned singer and award-winning songwriter, scheduled for August 8, 2024, at the Ector Theatre, according to a press release from the Education Foundation of Odessa.

The concert is set to benefit the Education Foundation and its initiatives.

LeAnn Rimes has a catalog of 63 singles over her career.

In the press release, The Education Foundation of Odessa had this to say about the foundation's goals and intentions:

The Education Foundation of Odessa provides a new and innovative source of funding to support the school district’s educational plan. The Foundation does not attempt to replace lost state funding, nor does it attempt to take the place of the district’s operating budget. When considering the level of funding required to educate students, the Foundation can expect only to provide funds for those projects and activities that go beyond the normal classroom experience. Such initiatives provide enrichment, research opportunities, teacher training, intervention and prevention strategies and extend the educational effort.

Attendance for the event is only available through event sponsorships, no individual seats will be sold.

Sponsorship packages for this event are available by calling the Education Foundation Office at (432) 456-7059, EducationFoundation.Odessa@outlook.com, or Celeste.Potter@ectorcountyisd.org
