MIDLAND, Texas — One local barber shop in Midland gave back to veterans by offering free haircuts.
Off The Wall Barbershop had the deal for veterans on Monday.
The barber shop opened its door for all veterans and this is the first time they are doing something like this after opening the shop a year ago.
For Off The Wall Co-Owner Deatra Mesa, this gesture reminds her of family.
"For me, personally, I have a family full of veterans. I have an uncle who just retired from the army after 22 years. So it's always been important to me," Mesa said. "We see the struggle when they get deployed and when they come home and being away from family. I know firsthand how it is to be in a family of military and so we have a ton of clients and families in here that are veterans as well and we thought it was important to give back today."
Off The Wall is located on 3201 West Wall St.
