MCCAMEY, Texas — UPDATE 3:37 p.m.: After investigation, the claim that a threat was made was determined to be false, according to McCamey ISD.
There was never an active threat toward a school and it was determined that students and staff were not in danger at any time.

McCamey ISD and the Upton County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a threat made towards the district.
McCamey ISD became aware of the district this morning and have been looking into the situation throughout the day. School days are currently operating as normal according to the McCamey ISD Facebook page.
