Midland County reminding voters about rules going into Election Day

MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas — Midland County would like to remind voters about some rules with election time coming up.

Use of electronic devices is prohibited within 100 feet of a vote center. If voters have their cheat sheets for voting on their phone, that information should be transferred to a piece of paper before coming to vote.

With Midland ISD and Greenwood ISD on the ballot, Section 61.010 of the Texas Election Code will affect voters employed by the school systems.

They are asking that school district employees be mindful of their attire when they come in to vote. 

The Secretary of State Office says individual school shirts and anything with the plain MISD logo is okay to wear, but clothing that has anything for or against the bond is prohibited.

Name badges should be left in vehicle or placed in purse or bag.

District ID badges are prohibited.
