MIDLAND, Texas — The City of Midland has announced that Fire Chief Chuck Blumenauer will be transitioning to the role of Managing Director of Public Safety, according to a press release from the City of Midland.
This move is part of the city’s strategic plan, emphasizing enhanced safety, community engagement, and succession planning.
In his new role, Chief Blumenauer will oversee safety operations, including fire services, Animal Services, Health Department, and emergency services.
Michael Tully will serve as Interim Fire Chief during this transition.
