MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Are you looking to become a firefighter? Here's your chance with the Midland Fire Department.

The Midland Fire Department is looking for prospective firefighter recruits.

The first step to becoming a firefighter is the agility test.

It is meant to simulate the tasks a potential firefighter would experience daily.

Midland Fire Department Training Chief, Manuel Heredia, said "We just threw together these different components to kind of simulate the day-to-day emergency operations that an applicant would find themselves in out in the real world both fire and EMS related."

Some qualifications include having at least 15 hours of college credit within the last five years or if you have current certifications.
