Midland gives Chuck E. Cheese's green light to serve alcohol

In a vote of 5-2 the Midland City Council has approved a permit that would allow Chuck E. Cheese to serve alcohol.

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Tuesday morning the Midland City Council has approved a permit, with 5 votes in favor and 2 against, that would allow Chuck E. Cheese's to serve alcohol.

According to Christi Owens, General Manager at the Midland Chuck E. Cheese's, they have strict corporate policies when it comes to serving alcoholic drinks. "One ID, one drink, everyone gets carded. You cannot come in and order yourself and someone else a drink. You have to have your ID and they have to have theirs. We track who got it when, who served it."

It is unclear at this time exactly when alcohol sales will begin at the restaurant.
